One of the four major cities in India, Chennai formerly known as Madras is the capital of the state of Tamil Nadu. Stretched out on the coastline of the country, it has a number of sites for tourists to visit. The Marina beach covers an area of over 13km and is the second longest beach in Asia. The magestic forts and palaces remind one of bygone eras. Over weekend evenings this area looks more like a fair ground with the vast number of people who flock to the beautiful coastline.
